Now in its third edition, Italy's Neuromuscular Disease Day is set for Saturday, March 9th, with events to be held in 17 Italian cities. Organized and promoted by Italy's Neuromuscular Alliance, the initiative seeks to increase awareness of this group of rare diseases and is dedicated, in particular, to patients and their families, to provide information on advances in diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in Italy.
As a company that has always had a close relationship with the community of patients affected with neuromuscular diseases and with the medical and scientific world committed to improving patients’ quality of life, Kedrion is proud to be supporting this initiative for the third year running, and to help reach objectives that include strengthening the research and training efforts of the clinics working in the field.
The centers specialized in neuromuscular diseases taking part in the initiative – in Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Brescia, Cagliari, Genoa, Messina, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Parma, Pisa, Rome, Siena, Turin, Udine and Verona – will be hosting events aimed at providing updates on this group of rare diseases , from diagnostics and treatment to patients’ acceptance of their condition. The Day’s local, regional and national events are open to patients and their associations, neurologists, physiatrists, general practitioners, pediatricians, child psychiatrists, physical therapists, biologists, geneticists, psychologists, nurses, and caregivers.
