Liver transplant, presented in five CME webinars supported by Kedrion

Kedrion Biopharma is proud to support, with an unconditional grant, the study venture "Management of complex clinical cases in liver transplant patients: shared experiences", consisting of five webinars designed for Italian specialists in this field.

Beginning on Wednesday, October 21 through to December 17, each accredited CME session will focus on some of the most common problems associated with pre- and post-transplant patient management, adopting a multidisciplinary approach to compare the experiences gained in Liver Transplant Centers throughout the Country.

Dr Maria Cristina Morelli, Director of the Internal Medicine Operative Unit for the Treatment of Severe Organ Insufficiency of the Sant'Orsola-Malpighi Polyclinic- Bologna General Hospital, is the scientific director of this series of courses aimed at addressing the need to improve the clinical management of “complex” transplant patients and promote a collaborative exchange between specialists in the field.  This initiative is particularly relevant during the current pandemic which has, without a doubt, made communication within the medical community even more challenging.

The most problematic elements and implications concerning the management of transplant patients who are obese or suffering from primary sclerosing cholangitis or chronic kidney disease are just a few of the issues at the centre of these webinars which are of great topical interest to clinicians
