PHARMAMARK, the fifth edition of the Pharmaceutical Marketing Master’s Degree has just ended

“Kedrion Biopharma has believed in PHARMAMARK’S Pharmaceutical Marketing Master’s Degree from the first edition because we consider that the commitment of the private sector to  training alongside the university is an advantage for the whole of society.  I am very pleased to witness the way in which this partnership has continued over the years, to include also a number of public institutions, starting from the Tuscany Region”.  These are Ferdinando Borgese’s comments, Kedrion’s Intercontinental Commercial Director, during the closing event of the fifth edition of Pharmamark’s Master’s Degree, which took place on July 1st in Florence at the Headquarters of the Regional Council of Tuscany.

The training course held at PIN University ––– Polo Universitario Città di Prato – aims to train professional figures with a specific preparation in the field of pharmaceutical marketing, providing a 360 degree vision of ethical issues connected to the pharmaceutical sector and over the counter medicines (OTC) thanks also to the network of companies involved in the project and available to offer participants a training internship.

The closing ceremony offered an opportunity for taking stock of the first five editions, with the enrollment of 65 participants (comprising new graduates and young managers seeking to improve their professional levels), 75 teaching staff (from the academic community and the pharmaceutical industry) and 37 sector companies; in addition to public bodies and institutions, including the Region of Tuscany, the Region of Liguria, the Meyer Foundation, Confindustria, Farmindustria and the Ministry of Health.  Numbers which confirm the value of the initiative which over the years has seen over 90% of participants finding employment within 3 months from completing the Master’s Degree course.

Alongside the presentation of work projects produced by the participants of the course, Kedrion and Amryt Pharma, the two companies which support the Master’s degree also took part; in addition Daniela Toccafondi, President of PIN, and Antonio Mazzeo, President of the Regional Council of Tuscany presented their greetings followed by presentations by Simone Guercini and Orazio Vella, respectively scientific coordinator and course director.
