This year Kedrion participated once again as a sponsor in the Sistema Salute Forum (Health System Forum), held on October 19 and 20 at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence.
The “Re-Evolution of intelligence” was the theme at the center of a two-day event that brought together the main players in the world of health: the public and private healthcare system, healthcare and innovation companies, scientific and professional organizations, the non-profit sector, and social services, as well as citizens’ and communities’ representatives.
Now in its eighth edition, the Forum was the ideal opportunity to stimulate discussion and encourage open and constructive dialogue among the various participants, called first and foremost to give their contribution to defining the future of Italy’s healthcare system.
During the event, particular attention was paid to the key role played by the community of blood donors in Italy and their associations within our “Sistema Sangue” with the “Generosity is in your blood” round table, which took place on Friday, October 20. Moderated by science journalist Beatrice Curci, the session featured five of the leading national experts on the topic: Vanessa Agostini, Director of the Transfusion Medicine OU and Director of the Regional Coordination Structure for Transfusion Activities in the Liguria Region Irccs Ospedale Policlinico San Martino in Genova; Gianpietro Briola, National President of Avis; Simona Carli, Director of the Regional Blood Center, Tuscan Region; Vincenzo De Angelis, Director of the National Blood Center; and Giovanni Musso, National President of Fidas.
The participants discussed the need to raise public awareness – particularly among young people –, starting from family and school, about the culture of donation as an altruistic and civic-minded gesture.
