“Hemophilia care: building confidence” (“Emofilia. La certezza della cura”) congress will take place on June 27 and 28 at the Savoia Excelsior Palace in Trieste (Italy). It will be a major event for the medical and scientific community, dedicated to the most current issues in the field of Hemophilia and featuring speakers and guests from Italy and abroad. The scientific directors of the meeting – organized by Kedrion – are two leading authorities in the field, Professor Giancarlo Castaman of the Careggi University Hospital in Florence and Professor Elena Santagostino of the IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico Foundation in Milan.
Topics to be addressed at the congress will include the therapeutic challenges of inhibitor development, the current and future role of plasma-derived factor concentrates, the integrated and personalized approach to patients with Hemophilia, who are increasingly the focus of support programs designed to get patients more "involved," aware and at the center of a genuine partnership with doctors, and the challenge of interdisciplinary and global access to care. This concerted initiative will involve not only the medical and scientific community, but will also feature the activities and testimonies of donors, and the perspective of the National Health System and the world of the industry.
